The Lewisville Police Department is hosting Trunk or Treat on Friday from 5-8 p.m at The Tittle McFadden Public Safety Center.
November 1st is the Play Night at the Frisco Discovery, free access to all museums from 6-8pm!.
The West Plano Emergency Room will host a First Responders Chili Cookoff on Sunday November 2nd The event will be a friendly competition between chili teams from the West Plano Emergency Room, Plano Fire-Rescue, and the Plano Police Department
Roads and Such
Gas prices have dropped from summer as usual. We’ve seen them as low as $2.24 in Lewisville Costco… nice!
McKinney is introducing their Safe Streets plan. If you’re passionate about keeping the roads safe you can make your voice heard on their free survey here due Nov 9th.
Plano, Farmers Branch, and Highland Park are considering withdrawing from the transit system bringing into question DART’s future in North Dallas. Public transportation is near it’s end here.
Plano will invest $3.31 million to repair streets, alleys, sidewalks and ramps in the neighborhood bounded by Park Boulevard, Decator Drive and Tulane Drive. This project is funded by 2021 Bond funds.
Some Development
BIG news for Plano. The Dallas Stars are considering a move to a new stadium in Plano at the Willow Bend Mall. This would be a massive Billion Dollar Development Article . We will certainly be keeping you updated on significant developments here.
Dirk Nowitzki’s brewery ‘Rollertown Beerworks’ opened in Plano this weekend. This is a sweeeet two story taproom at 6450 Main St.
121 Commerce Park is the next huge industrial space build along the Sam Rayburn Tollway. Construction will begin Q2 of 2026 and will last around a year. This may impact traffic on Collin Mckinney Pkwy, but we will keep you updated as this progresses.
Sports
The Cowboys host the Cardinals on Monday Night Football. TICKETS ARE CHEAP! If you’re looking to go to a Cowboys game for cheap this season these might take the cake with tickets starting at $30.
The Stars are on the road in Florida on Saturday at 5pm
They host the Oilers Tuesday at 7pm
The Mavs are in Detroit Saturday at 9pm
They remain on the road Monday at 7pm in Houston
